Where to begin?

Hopefully, this will be a blog to help me (and other too hopefully!) to get cultured. "Cultured?" I hear your ask... Well, I'd like to be a bit more literate so that i can quote authors and argue concepts like a wise old man would. So, any suggestions on some literature to get me on my way to wisdom?

    Go to a second hand book store and see if they have Cliff Notes, they are study guides for all the books literature students have to read, like Shakespeare's works or poets etc. Using a study guide and the real book side by side, you will understand these complex works of art and become more cultured, I guarantee it ;)

    Otherwise, head to your nearest university, and ask people walking around where the first year classes such as psychology101. These will be huge lectures in the morning usually, sit in on them, take some notes!

    Definitely read the Tao Te Ching. Wisest book I've ever read. I like Stephen Mitchel's translation.
